Yo! What it dookie? My name’s Twist, I’m from Phoenix Arizona and I’ve been a hip hop DJ since 1994.

Over the years I’ve been fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to work with a number of highly respected DJ’s and MC’s, as well as travel across the US and Canada on tour. I also lived in Hawaii for some time where I worked in the record store business for about 5 years. Eventually, I opened my own shop in Kauai with a close friend Sam Shaw.

After selling the business in 2006, I returned to the mainland to pursue traveling and spent a few months on the road as the tour DJ for Fatlip of The Pharcyde and fellow BLX family member IamOmni. 17,000 miles later I found myself living back in Phoenix where the summer is hell, but the rent is cheap.

I wanted to start this blog as an outlet to offer my help to up-and-coming DJ’s and provide some information and entertainment for the online DJ community. I hope you enjoy the site and please let me know if you have any questions or feedback. Thanks for visiting!
